S in the Signal Framework

Updated: Sep 17

The most dangerous leader in any room is the one who doesn't know themselves.
Not because they're bad people, but because they make decisions from blind spots they can't see.
S in the SIGNAL framework stands for Self-Awareness, and it's the foundation everything else is built on.
Here's what I know to be true:
You cannot lead others further than you have led yourself.
Self-awareness isn't about being introspective 24/7. It's about having the courage to ask hard questions and sit with honest answers.
Questions like:
→ What do the people closest to me say about how I lead?
→ Do those words match how I see myself?
→ What triggers me, and what does that reveal about what I believe?
→ Where are my blind spots, and what have I been avoiding?
The leaders who do this work regularly become the leaders people trust most. Not because they're perfect, but because they're real.
Self-awareness is not weakness. It is the first act of strength.
